Working with a local developer on a phased approach to the restoration of barns overlooking the Northern Fells. We undertook initial inspections to best understand the restoration work needed to the various existing structures, informing the planning process and strategy for the redevelopment. Reconstruction of a number of the barns resulted in adopting traditional building techniques with modern technology, and with the restoration of the older heritage barns, we adopted a sympathetic approach to the engineering. The projects went on to win the regional finals for the Federation of Master Builders Project Award.
