We provided geotechnical technical advice to the owner of a wind farm in Fife associated with the the mine workings beneath a wind turbine foundation. Following extensive geotechnical investigations, we supervised the grouting of mine workings and erection of the wind turbine.
We have worked with a leading bomb specialist on one of the wind farm sites in Scotland to identify the bomb risks on the site. We have provided a range of operational inspections on a variety of wind farms across northern England and Scotland. Site inspections include structural inspections of foundations, inspections of road condition, drainage systems and earthworks as well as ongoing water and environmental monitoring.
We recently provided support to a project in Southern Scotland, providing water quality monitoring and analysis from a insitu Sonde as well as handheld water monitoring equipment. Monitoring work spanned over a 9 month period with data being issued to SEPA and SNH for there own records.
